Derbil

What is a Derbil?

Derbils are indigenous to the Purple Woods and are fairly common.  They are a unique life form, falling under the kingdom Stuffie.  The typical Derbil diet includes vast quantities of donuts and baked goods.  They are intelligent and can communicate with humans.  Derbils have an extraordinarily long sleep duration, which can sometimes last for several days.  Although a Derbils natural environment is the forest, they are very fond of soft blankets, beds, and couches.  Derbils are social creatures and can be found living in large groups called ‘Wowhy’.  A singular Derbil is referred to as a ‘Fobi’ in their native language.  The average length of the Derbil life span is unknown.

Healthy Derbils have a foul odour eminating from their feet.  Although the forest creatures find the smell repulsive, the Derbils typically find it a source of humor and pride.  The elders tell stories of how the smell from a Derbil's feet once knocked out a dragon.
